Johnny Holland (born March 11, 1965 in Bellville, Texas) is a former NFL football player and Current NFL linebackers coach. He played linebacker for the Green Bay Packers from 1987-1993. He is an inductee into the Texas A&M Hall of Fame, the Cotton Bowl Hall of Fame, and the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame. Why he has not been inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame I cannot fathom.
Cheers :-)

Yes, Favre is the best QB to ever play the game. Nine-time pro bowler. Only player to ever win 3 NFL MVP Awards (95, 96, 97). Ist in career touchdowns. Most completions. Most attemps. Ha...even Most interceptions for a career. Won 1996 Super Bowl.
BTW, He did have pro-bowl, HOF-level players on his teams in the nineties. Reggie White, Leroy Butler, and Gilbert Brown were quality players, possibly HOFers. Mark Chmura was a really good tight end. He could have def been a HOFer. I would say that Marino did more with less.
Keep in mind, Favre had Dorsey Levens, Ahman Green, Javon Walker, Donald Driver, Bubba Franks, Antonio Freeman, Desmond Howard, Bill Schroeder, Mark Chmura and other great players.
Marino never had a credible running back. His best running was best known for having the same name as a famous Basketball player. (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar)

Hmmm.. Here is a stab at a top five list:
1. Otto Graham-If winning is a yardstick, then it is hard to beat ten Championship Game apperances in ten years. Was the QB as Paul Brown was inventing the Modern Game.
2. Joe Montana-Perfected the West Coast Offense.
3. Johnny Unitas- Ultimate gunslinger. His 47-game streak of throwing one touchdown will never be broken. Was Farve before Farve.
4. Sammy Baugh-The first of the great throwing QB's.
5. Fran Tarkenton-Overlooked now, but held all of throwing records, but lost three Super Bowls (to great teams). Rushed for over 3500 yards and 32 touchdowns. Played at a high level into his late 30's.
Farve is in the next five in my view.

yeah he used what he was given......and a lot of time. It is hard to say. Could Montana have put up those numbers if his career hadn't been cut short by an Elbow injury? Or Steve Young, if he hadn't taken more head hits than Muhamed Ali? We will never know. Favre is great...but I think that there are too many variables to unconditionally call one guy the greatest.
(with the possible exception of Jerry Rice at WR....cause NOBODY has come close to doing what he did.)

#1....that is tough to say. Certainly in the top 5....but once you get into that elite group....they are all GREAT! It is next to impossible to say with any certainty which one is actually the greatest.
BTW...Sterling Sharpe will never be in the Hall of Fame. Due to his injury...his career was way to short. Had he played another 3-4 seasons with Brett...he would probalby have been a lst ballott HOFer.

Bret Favre is a great player, but he isn't in the Hall of Fame yet either. He's still playing. There will be others from the Packers in the hall of fame when they retire.

Tough call.
Marino, Montana, Moon, Elway, Manning and then the old timers Unitas, Baugh, Tittle.
It is like saying which is a better car a Lamborghini or a Ferrari?
No TEs/receivers? I do not get your comment, what about Sharpe, Brooks, Freeman, Driver and Schroeder?
No Running backs? Um, Ahman Green anyone?
Farve will definately be in the HOF the first year he is eligible. You can bank on that.

dude, good with the Reggie white stat.
I have to say, as of now, Favre is the greatest QB ever . Maybe someone will come along and change that but I highly doubt it.

Yep. Favre is the greatest football player ever. He not only could play better than the other guys, he could beat the crap out of the other guys too!
