I am going to go on Zyban to quit smoking. I'm pumping myself up to do this as it is so unhealthy and expensive. I don't want to fail, I want to quit this time. Does anybody have any tips that worked for them. Also, how long after you quit did you still crave cigarettes?

I Stop smoking by playing toothpicks after having meal.
I read my favourite magazine until im too busy and forgot that i have to smoke in my bathroom
sometimes when i meet people talking to me smoking, i try to eat bubble gum so that i have activity in my mouth, and feeling to smoke will decreased.
But the most important, dont stop smoking in one time, coz i BET u will back to smoke more than before.
Try to stop slowly and slowly, a little n little bit (But u Have to COMMIT to yourself)

Find out why you started in the first place. Most people start smoking to fill in some void. Now do something else to fill in that void. You smoked to stop overeatting, chew gum. You smoke to calm down, punch a bag.
Also reward yourself for quitting. You're more likely to stay off. put all the money that you would've spent on cigarettes in a jar. After a month use th money you saved to buy yourself something nice.

Every time you want a cigarette drink a glass of ice water. Take Vitamin C to make the nicotine leave your body faster. You could start keeping a journal of when you smoke and why you are smoking that cigarette and how satisfying the cigarette is and stop smoking it if you are not getting a lot of satisfaction out of it.
