Square a fraction by multipling the numerator by itself and that is over the denominator multiplied by itself. For example 3/5 squared = 9/25 So 6/4 squared=36/16 and 2 times that is 72/16=36/8=18/4=9/2
6[6/4]=36/4=9 9/2-9=9/2-18/2=-9/2
-9/2+1=-9/2+2/2=-7/2

= 2(3/2)^2 - 6(3/2) + 1
= 2(9/4) - 18/2 +1
= 18/4 -9 +1
= 4.5 -9 + 1 = - 3.5
