I saw it.
When I adopted my cats from the shelter, the agreement that I signed was that if I was no longer able to care for the cat, regardless of the reason, the animal is to be returned to the shelter. I think it is a good policy, because it guarantees the animal is cared for even if I no longer can.
I cannot understand how E.D. was NOT made aware of this condition of the adoption agreement. If someone else (lawyer, rep. agent whatever) signed the agreement and did not tell her of it, then that's her problem that she doesn't have good reps.
What TOTALLY BAFFLES ME about this WHOLE situation is ...
WHY does it need to be TV fodder?????? WHY does the ENTIRE WORLD and the MOON need to know what all went on?? I can understand if the tabloids got a hold of this story and splashed it all over the place...but E.D. does not need to use her tv show for this. It is such a MINOR thing, and to expend such an enormous amount of time, tears and energy over it is absolutely rediculous.
Everyone is entitled to my opinion.

I felt sorry for her. I would be crying my eyes out and screaming if someone took my dog away from me. She has every right to be upset and she should get her attorney (if she has one) after that shelter. If she can't then I hope the dog goes to a loving, caring home.

think approximately to be kidding! i'm no longer being rude, truly! you think of you like canines! think of!!!! Will observing a television coach like THAT strengthen your breeding skills! study each and everything conceivable approximately breeding canines, each and every of the no longer easy paintings, the heartbreak, the money you lose, a while,,it is great quantity spent looking after domestic canines, then looking them a solid residing house, with people who will shelter it, practice it, like it. Ellen Degeneres won't be able to teach you that.

DOH, I didn't get to see the show but I think Ellen is a genuine person. I can not image her sorrow being anything but just that. She has never been infamous for publicity seeking. I do know that she does love animals.

About as sincere as she would be if she adopted a human infant and then decided to give it away after a week or two because she couldn't stand to change diapers.

I think she was sincere. In my opinion Ellen needs a vacation. There are a lot more devastating things happening in the world then that.

It wasn't a shelter it was a rescue called Mutt's for Mom's or some such. I heard eventually they will get it all straightened out. I suppose she was sincere.

Yes! She seemed to be truly upset and bothered by the situation. It's very sad and hopefully things will work out for the dog and the family.
