The building blocks for life are simple: carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. These three elements combine to form almost every molecule of living organisms. During a study conducted by the NASA Glenn research lab (Cleveland, OH), the researches found that 99% of the 250+ planets known in our universe have the three main elements of life. All that is need is a spark to get the elements going. In Earth's case, it is believed to be a bolt of lightening. On Jupiter and Saturn, thunderstorms are 1000 times more violent than Earth's. They also are much more common.

I'm not Christian, but I come from a strong Hindu family, although I'm still young and wouldn't consider myself all that religious just yet. I believe though, considering how immense the universe supposedly is, there are other planets that support other life forms. Whether they are intelligent or not, I don't know. They could possibly be so advanced, they don't have religion to explain things, or they could be simple bacteria-like aliens.

I'm inclined to believe there is, because if we are the only intelligent life in the universe, then God aimed really low and settled for very little.
BTW, you don't know for a fact there is other life out there. Nobody does. Get over it. Hurry up and wait like everyone else.

It would be a terrible waste of space if there isn't.
That being said, antone who has read more then a few science
fiction books knows that there are two distinct schools of
thought on this matter.
School A says that the universe was created for us to populate.
School B says that the universe is populated by many
different life forms out there.
Either way works for me.

There is a difference between believing and knowing.
I also believe, as you do, that there is other intelligent life out there.
I do not believe that you or anyone else "knows for a fact" that intelligent life is out there. Anyone who claims to at this moment is flat out lying.

It is probable that there is life elsewhere. It's a very big place. As for intelligent life? Less probable, but as I said, it's a big place.
And don't say silly things like you know it's a fact. I'm not in that state of mind.

Oh you know for a fact do you ???
What pray tell is holding you back from presenting your evidence to the rest of the world ???
Could it maybe be... LACK of evidence ?
Don't come on here with BS.
Your question contradicts itself. You say that your know for a FACT. And yet your 'fact' is only supported by BELIEF and "STATE OF MIND".
Sorry, but I prefer the REAL world. The one where facts are based upon evidence and not paranormal elucidations.

There has to be aother intelligent life out there, somewhere.
The Universe is just to vast for there not to be.
We'll never know about it though, because of those same vast distances.
Not in our lifetimes, at least...

I believe that you're right. But I can't actully -prove- it. That is, I can't point to a life form from 'out there' and say, "See? There it is."
