Alright, I'm gonna get thumbed down for this but I don't care. 14.5 volts for your AC generator is fine, its normal, and it won't boil your battery. If the service manual calls for a lower output voltage, then there is a chance you have an issue with the wiring before it reaches the voltage regulator. I seriously doubt that it is the AC generator at fault if you have to keep replacing it.
I think your ECU was fine, and I think your wiring has a problem. Many many problems get misdiagnosed because techs will not pull up Mitchel's, Shop Key, All Data, or something like it and find the procedures and specs for full fielding an alternator to ensure it is charging properly. I suggest you stop doing this stuff yourself and take it to a shop with ASE certified technicians.

"Was it New?" Battery is Swollen and bad by now, Replace! Alternator should show no more then 13.6V when running and Test at the Battery. It will Back Feed and cook the New ECU.

Voltage regulator in the alternator sounds bad you should take the alternator back, also check your battery. Also dont trust the tests they use for alternators at autoparts stores they arent accurate. The only accurate test is to put it in your car and see if it works.

The alternator is definitely to blame. Take this unit back to your supplier, get a new unit and bench test it before you leave the store to make sure it works properly.

14.5 - 15 volts back to your battery will boil it dry in no time at all. 13.5-14.0 is a max. Where are ya gettin these alternators?
