you need to rinse it first all that salt brine is what does it. so strain and drain and then heat.

I eat it on hot dogs an sausages, but have no problem . BUT it makes a perfect fast acting laxative, drink the juice an eat bout 1/2 the can. I mean fastttttttttttttttttttttttt acting,lol.

Funny, I just ate some sauerkraut for dinner!

Yes, I get pretty excited when I eat it cause soon after I will be farting all night long and it drives my roommate crazy :P

I ea t "Hot" sauerkraut and ice cream ... then while I'm sitting down in the bathroom I just keep saying "COME ON ICE CREAM'
