Ye I Think so. But it's not me saying Brodeur is terrible, even though his stats are horrible this year, hes playing great in my opinion but the defense just isn't the same, we've got a bunch of kids in front of the Future Hall Of Famer!
Weekes Did Play good in His First Start but how do you know he'll play like that every game and this is the Pittsburgh Penguins with Powerful offense i think brodeur can handle it perfectly but he cant do it alone! the first 2 goals by pittsburgh were defensive errors, failing to get the puck out of the zone! Our offense is great this year!
I Think Stick to Marty till After the Home Opener where you give weekes a few chances
maybe 15 starts this year ain't too bad!

lmao! govno da? Nu mozhet ne govno, mozhet ne blyad, no ochen ploho stoit. Are you Russian too? Or just your husband?
About Weekes, yes, Brodeur, as you can see, is showing his true self. Not playing in front of a great defense, he can't be as good. Just shows how overrated he is, and always was, as a goalie. Besides, he's too old.

Bob, I am now convinced that Brodeur will NOT break Roy's win record (unless he pulls a "hasek"). Look at the way he is playing. I admit that I might have to eat my words in a couple months, but so far, it's been bad, really, really, bad for Brodeur in terms of winning. I do not like Brodeur, so my comments have a load of bias behind them. Don't take them too seriously, after all, I really do like the Pens, and it warms my heart to see Sid & Co. light Brodeur up like a Christmas tree.

I'll start by saying that I am by no means a fan of Brodeur or the Diablos. However if memory serves, he looked pretty bad at the start of last season but eventually got it together, as did the D. Eventually his time will run out, but my money says that he'll still be in net far longer than he will effective.
That being said, I'd like to see Weekes as the #1 on a different team.

Weekes is not the answer for New Jersey. Martin Brodeur is money and will be among the top 5 goalies in the NHL in wins and save percentage by season's end. You can count on it.

Why?
Just wait until the Devils play a home game!
Bob, excellent arguments in favour of Brodeur over Roy.

...Brodeur sure looked like the answer against the Pens. He was his usual self, I'd say. I found that out when he made his first big save of the 1st period: snaps his arm to reach up BEHIND him, grabs the puck, and holds it infront of him. No rebound. And the man is on his @s$. I just had to shake my head.
I hate that the Pens lost, but it's always amazing to watch him in action, live (and pretty close).

Hell no and Mike- what kind of baseless comments is that about Brodeur being overrated? Wow. I definitely rate him as one of the top 3 goalies I have seen in my life, likely the best. Showing his true self? Attributing all of his great career to the defence in front of him? I thought you would know better. Who do you refer to when you talk about this "great defence"? Neidermayer and Stevens were long gone last year my friend.
