the equivalent would be if terrorists from any one country were to commit 12 9/11s in America using weapons they had one way or the other acquired from a 3rd country and then the 3rd country warned/threatened America to put up with it and not disturb the terrorists country`s peace

So good old Poncho just keeps riding across the US border with his private army a hooping and yelling and a shooting anyone is sight, and then flees across the border when resistance forms up. This sort of thing happened in the early 1900's in along the Mexican border.
It is nearly identical to what is now happening along the Iraq-Turkey border.
{Edit}
Placing things in a more local context makes them easier to understand since they become more relatable.

What's not to understand? The Kurdish "rebels" have been over-running the Turkish border for years. Turkey has a right to defend itself.

We supported Israel when they were attacked across the Lebanese border and pursued their attackers all the way home, right?
Well, this is the same thing, only Turkey has Israel's role, and the PKK has the Hezbollah role....

What I find interesting about that is that we wouldn't give a flying f*** before, and I don't think we should but oh yea we needed to invade Iraq.
