We're topping all the good lists lately! Unfriendliest? To be honest I haven't come across an unfriendly one yet and I'm fairly well travelled.People wherever you go are much the same. You reach out to them ,they reach back.If pushed I'd say some Parisians can be a bit standoffish but elsewhere in France they're fine.On the whole though the world is made up of mostly nice people, thankfully.

Spain, try Salamanca for unfriendliness. I speak Spanish and I tell you you can listen to them slag everyone off who looks like someone from Northern Europe. I pretend not to understand just to listen to them. When two waiters are having a conversation across your table it is probably about you if you look English and I will not go into what they say.

have never been anywhere unfriendly, have travelled some, am told that Italy is kind of difficult in some ways, people don't really let you in...in Japan people will be very friendly, but they don't always mean it...

I think England is unfriendly. Everywhere else, everyone seems more relaxed. Even if somewhere is densely populated people abroad seem friendlier. There seems to be something in the English mindset that is hostile, and alcohol has a lot to do with it.
