What are the best lesbian movies ever?

Been watching lesbian movies for the past week or so and the ones that I have viewed are:

1. Imagine Me & You - Piper Perabo and Lena Headey star in this one. Very romantic movie if you ask me. Heterosexual marriage is concerned, but when you've found true love, you're really gonna go for it.

2. Lost and Delirious - again, with Piper Perabo (who I think is a very flexible actress). This one deals with intense passion and fear of being ostracized because of homosexuality.

3. Better than Chocolate - I bet you will love this one! It's just very entertaining to say the least. You'll have some laughs here and there, it's a great ride.

4. When Night is Falling - there's a particular love scene here where it's beautifully portrayed and that's why I couldn't forget about this one...

5. The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love - if you're familiar with the series, The L Word, you'll see Laurel Holloman in a different light! She looked so hot as Tina (femme) in the TV series and so darned cute as Randy in this movie (butch). You won't even believe the transformation! Trust me.

6. But I'm A Cheerleader - very hilarious, I was really laughing my @ss of watching that film. It's about "curing" homosexuality through joining a really weird camp. Must-see.

7. Itty Bitty Titty Committee - a recent addition to the lesbian movie category.

8. Fingersmith - haven't finished watching this one but you actually made me recall I have this pending in my mind. Lol!

9. Loving Annabelle - who would forget this? Check this one out if you haven't watched it yet.

I mostly watched the films listed here through some free movie sites on the web. Hope you have fun! Take care! ; )

Kissing Jessica Stein (hated it)
Making Grace (documentary about an older lesbian couple having a child)
Go Fish (early 90's film, really captures feminism and being a lesbian)
Better Than Chocolate (LOVED it)
But I'm a Cheerleader (Ummm Homosexual Staple!)

If you're looking for something rather old (and don't care about whether it is pro- or anti-gay), then I'd recommend "The Children's Hour," made back in 1961. That movie is very fascinating and most of the actors do an outstanding job, but it was written when homosexuality was still highly taboo.

-Boys Don't Cry (well Brandon Tina's a transexual, this is honestly one of the best movies ever made, with the best acting I've ever seen)

I also really liked V for Vendetta, it's not exactly a lesbian movie, but it does have some obvious homosexual tones, and is a very good movie. ;)

Personal Best; kind of tacky but still good and the best book is the Well of Loneliness, available at Amazon that tells of the relationship between two women who were outcast because of their sexual orientation during WW2. Just fantastic.
