Sounds cheesy to a lot of people, but Celine Dion. She has the best mix of perfect vocals, good productions and lyrics (even if she didn't write any of it herself--who cares) and the necessary emotion nailed to perfection for each song. That's the hallmark of a great singer--not just singing the words written or being able to write all your own songs. It's what's missing nowadays.
