My mom wont let me have a tattoo or a peircing when Im older. Today when she was getting gas for car. I asked her how would she feel if I got a peircing when Im 18. She just gets mad and tells me that she would move to florida and leave me and my sister if we dont listen to her rules when we're 18. Its not fair. My mom basically has been controlling my life since forever. Plus. I think shes religious. She used to be a Christian.

Does Christianity have to do something about me not getting tattoos or peircings? Because my mom used to be Christian and shes kinda religious. Plus she is crazy. She wont let me be who I want to be. All I wish is that she gets her own life because she doesnt need to control mine all the time. She can't tell me what to do when I turn 18. If she moves then I wouldnt care. Id be free on my own and wouldnt have to deal with her. I do know the real world is hard and stuff but how can I learn how to grow the f*** up when she wont let me do anything? Help me ='[

Listen, I'm a Christian and my last boyfriend had two tattoos. My family really didn't like him but that only made me more attracted to him. I honestly see nothing wrong with them or piercings and I'm a good person. When you turn 18 you can do what you want to. Maybe she is involving her religious too much or she is trying tough love. I don't know. I normally do what I want to and people might have a problem with it but whatever, they don't own me.

I can see you have a real problem, but just think, did you notice how the tattoos look on old women? First get an education so that you can support yourself, then when you move out you won`t be at the mercy of some dealer, or pimp.Don`t be tense all the time, try to get along til you can leave safely. Lots of luck.

They both have an effect on how people perceive you, most of the time it's a negative reaction espically with employers. Your mom might not want you to be "freak" in other people's eyes just remind her that not all tats are horrible over-the-top body modification and if you decide that you want it removed you have that choice (for a price). Show her that your a responsible young adult that can take care of yourself and make grown-up decisions. Like getting a job to pay for what you want pierced or tatted or having an apartment for a few months showing your not a child anymore.

honestly it don't sound infected how ever getting your cartilage pierced with a gun can shatter your cartilage cause piercing guns are only used for lobes or helix and that is it! most people don't know what they are doing like pagoda or clarie's cause they watch a 30 min video on how to pierce ears and its not a good idea honestly cause 9 times out of 10 they normally get infected cause they dont know how to tell people how to clean them! i had 17 at one time all done with a gun and now i only have 10 cause they got infected cause guns aren't good anyway i got my left tragus pierced with a needle and i never had any problems with it at all and the same with my navel.... needles are safer then piercing guns cause they can't clean piercing guns! needles they just throw away! i rather trust a body piercing shop then pagoda or claires or wal-mart! now since u got it pierced with a gun it might take longer to heal then with a needle! plus it depends if you got thin or thick cartilage as well... the thinner ur cartilage the more sore it will be then if it was thick! Include increased pain, increased redness and an increase in the amount and thickness of the discharge. The infected discharge is usually thick and yellow, green or grey and may have an unusual odour. Consult with your physician or piercer and do not remove the jewelry until you seek advice. Removing the jewelry may prevent pus draining and cause an abscess to form. Wash your hands with antibacterial soap. Wet the piercing with plain water. Put a few drops of antibacterial soap on the piercing and work them into a lather with a cotton bud. Try to loosen any crusted discharge and float it off the jewelry and your skin with the cotton bud. Leave the antibacterial soap on the piercing for two minutes while rotating the jewelry back and forth, allowing the disinfectant to penetrate the piercing. Rinse with water and air dry thoroughly. Do not dry with a towel, which may carry bacteria. Only clean it twice a day in the morning and at night before you go to bed! never over clean it and never play with it like twist it all the time.. u only need to twist it 2 times in the morning and at nigth when your clean it........ try to put h2o Ocean spray on it cause it will help with the healing and the itchy part... it does work i used it on my left tragus!

nothing in the bible says anything about no tattoos or no piercings. my family is religious and we have piercings and tattoos. tattoos and piercings are a way to express urself and some mothers don't feel ready to let go of their children because they want their baby forever. respect your mother's decisions then maybe after a while she will let you, when you are 18, get a piercing or a tattoo. make sure when u make a decision that u are ready. never go against ur mother.

Hmm.. well, there is nothing wrong with piercings, tons of people do it and are fine. If you dont like it, you can take it out.

However, tattoos are a bit different. They are permanent unless you want the gross way of taking them out, and can sometimes be infected.

Your mother may be worried about infections, and maybe she doesn't want to let you go, maybe it scares her that when you turn 18, you can do things that she cannot make you stop.

If you think that is a totally stupid logic, fine by me. =]
Iwould honestly want like 5 tattoos though. :D

Well when you're 18 you can do w/e you want, so it doesn't matter if she says no or not. A lot of Christians I know think it's bad to "ruin" your body by piercing or putting permanent ink on it. I personally love tattoos and piercings. I'm getting my nose pierced on my 18th b-day and my fist tat.
