I'm 5'3", about 118 pounds, in good shape, have great legs, big on top, well proportioned. I like nice clothes from Ann Taylor, Lord and Taylor, Macy's, Express, J Crew, Banana Republic, Limited, Gap, Guess, etc. I've been looking online and I'm feeling very frustrated. I could use some help. I want to look well put together. I'd like a tailored outfit. I don't know if I should wear a dress or slacks. I usually wear slacks. I'm not crazy about skirts because I've had problems with the fit. I cannot wear yellow or orange. I have auburn hair (dark) and dark brown eyes. My hair is below my shoulders (just barely). I have olive skin. I haven't ventured out to the mall here. I've been busy with work and school. I didn't find anything when I was out in the LA area a couple of weeks ago. I saw some things that I liked but I was with 2 guys (husband and his brother) so I didn't want to look too hard. I didn't want them to be bored.

The place hasn't been determined. It's the day after Thanksgiving. It's evening. It's probably dressy casual. I'm thinking a dress but I wore a dress to the 5 and 10 years. The 10 year was terrible. The 5 year was fun but I knew a lot more people at the 5 than the 10. But I think I would rather go than not go. It's not like it's all that often. I'm sure that no one has changed. I was quiet but I had a good group of friends back then. We've all drifted apart for various reasons. I went far to college for one thing.

I like the long shirt dress idea. I'm going to check to see what I can find. I want to stay away from black. Raspberry looks the best on me. Thank you for your help!! I appreciate it. I'm feeling less frustrated. I love clothes. But with my height, it's tough and I know that I'm not alone. It's tough being shorter.

You are absolutely correct to not buy something special for this sort of thing. I've gone through my closet and I don't know what I could wear. It's been a while since I've bought a new outfit. I'm a practical shopper. I just want to look nice and fashion forward. I'm looking for comfort and style. It's going to be cold too. I think I will just have to hit the mall sometime soon and try on some clothes. Or I'll just wear black slacks with a cool sparkly blouse and maybe one of my cashmere sweaters. My husband will be with me. I'm not looking to impress. I just want to put my best foot forward because I went to a snobby school. People at least used to care about what you wore or didn't wear. I don't think they've changed. I shouldn't care what they think but I do. It's not for their sake but for mine. I think wearing the right outfit can give you a boost of confidence. I was so nervous last time. Alcohol didn't help. I'm not a drinker and I didn't feel any effects. Nervous!

I think you are making too much out of this. It's a get together of people, whom most of which you probably never see unless you go to a class reunion, not some royal social affair that what you wear could make or break you.

Since most of these folks probably haven't seen you since the last reunion (if they had one before and you went) and probably won't see you again untill there's another years down the road, don't waste your money on getting something special to wear. Wear something you already have that works well for appropriate dress for the type of funtion they are holding.

Spend the $200 you'll save on a nice weekend with your husband at a later date.

Cheers :-)

i think a shirt dress is a little too casual. i see girls wearing tailored shirt dresses with tights or leggings and flats just walking around campus. try something a little more sophisticated and tailored for a nighttime event.

this is so cute in navy. it's an audrey hepburn classic. you said you have great legs, so show them off. also, there is more coverage up top, so that should be good so that you don't appear too provocative. pair this navy dress with some pale pink strappy heels for an unexpected, updated look. it's petite, so it should hit at the right length. http://www.jcrew.com/catalog/product.jhtml?id=prod86583273&catId=cat90236

a pencil skirt is classic as well. you can make the look more contemporary depending on the top you pair with it. again, this is petite, so the length should be right. http://www.jcrew.com/catalog/product.jhtml?id=prod74266281&catId=cat90235

i also love look number 11 from the jcrew look book. http://www.jcrew.com/content/281/fallpreview/wfallpreview.jhtml

You sound attractive, but don't flaunt yourself. I think you should definately wear a dress. Try on a shirtdress (the ones that button all the way up the front). They are so cute and flattering. With some heels, of course. I found one at Macy's not too long ago.

Go with that basic little black dress, you can't miss. Timeless and elegant! Women sometimes overdue the reunion outfit and end up looking uncomfortable and out of place. Look classy and confident!

So wear a pant suit that looks sophisticated and gorgeous. (Like you've landed the best job you ever wanted). Have fun and remember everyone else is going to be trying to make everyone think they're something too.

something totally hot. Go to the impulse section at Macys and tell them where you are going. Drop a few bills to look fabulous. Or don't go. Mine sucked and I realized that I hated those people in high school. Why did I think it was going to be fun?

Wearing clothes is usually a good thing. So like, a combination of a top, a bottom, and some shoes. Maybe some jewelery too.

First of all, take care of yourself first and stop caring about who you take to the mall with you.

You can't go wrong with a simple, sexy, yet classy black dress. With your description, you shouldn't have a hard time finding one. Don't forget the sexy strappy heels to go along with it. Check Target, they have some really cute things.
