It once again is putting together those darned toys. It is christmas eve after too much eggnog trying your darndest to put together toys that you don't even understand.
Somehow, at 5 am they come together and then it is time for the wee little Granddaughter to trample down the stairs for her surprises to find Grandpa and Grandma asleep!! Looking quite bad at that!!!

I wake up in a full body sweat and realize that the truth is.....I have already bought everything that I had intended to buy. Then I go back to sleep and completely stop worrying about who it was or what it was that I might have forgotten. I then awake again to the nightmare realization of how much debt I have acquired on all of my maxed out credit cards. After falling asleep for the third time I awake to the realization that EVERYTHING I had previously dreamed was ACTUALLY true......except that I forgot to get anything for the mail man!

There is always that one person. You really don't like them. You don't think they like you. You know you are invited to the same party, but you don't bring a gift for them...you think nothing of it. That is until you get there and they give you an awesome present, and rather than thinking of how great they are you hate the fact they they look like a better person than you now. Thats my nightmare...and it always seems to come true

My youngest son was getting his pet rat out of his cage so he could clean it ... his hands were dirty but the rat didn't bit him, it bit it's own tail off halfway down. I was having guests over the next day, and I had to do all of the housework and cooking while holding a very frightened rat who was bleeding (I did bandage it) and also my terribly frightened and 'guilty feeling' six year old son. It was Christmas Eve, and I WAS up all night, making sure the rat lived ...
