If Michigan plays up to its full potential, they will have a good shot to run the table and win the Big 10. Michigan has the talents to do it, and now it's up to the players and the coaching staff if they want to fully utillize all those talents.

It's incorrect that Michigan hasn't beaten a spread offense all year. The majority of the last few teams they've played have had them, it's just they weren't as good as App. St. and Oregon, plus Michigan's defense has gotten better all around since those games.
To your question...you know what? I never think Michigan can beat Ohio State, usually. But I got to thinking about it, and if they are going to do it anytime soon it'd be this season. Know why? The top 5 is a dangerous place to be this season. Every other team that seriously had a shot at the title game effed up to a team that they had no business losing to. I hate to say it, but Ohio State has no business losing to Michigan, but who else are they playing this season that 1) forget what you saw earlier this season, is generally a strong team to even come close enough to beating Ohio State, and 2) has boys on the team that came back to the school just to accomplish things they have not been able to accomplish the whole time they've been there? The title game--and, seriously, any other of the more respectable bowl games--is lost to Michigan, but there are still two things left that these Michigan boys haven't done that they still have a shot to do this time: beat Ohio State and win a bowl game. So I say, no, to the Rose Bowl, but the odds of Michigan beating OSU are higher than in a long time. If they can do it, that'd be sweet enough for me.

First off, they didn't lose to a Division II team. Appalachian State is Division I-AA (or more correctly FCS now), not Division II. Grand Valley State, Valdosta State, Northwest Missouri, etc. are Division II.
Second, if Michigan should somehow happen to win the Big Ten (if so, they'll be no higher than about 15 in the polls), it will prove once and for all how absolutely dreadful the Big Ten is and how they should lose their BCS slot to the MWC. Poetic justice would come from the fact that there's a real chance of Oregon winning the Pac Ten and Dennis Dixon getting to finish the dissecting job of Michigan's pathetic defense in Pasadena that he started in the Outhouse back in September.

they're now no longer "meant" to have national championship effects, it relatively is jackass pollvoters that think of a huge win in the Rose Bowl is greater advantageous than a sloppy win in the identify pastime and rank Rose Bowl winners #a million. And back in the past the BCS, you may desire to easilly argue the great Ten grew to become into the toughest convention so it wasn't a cakewalk to get there. The susceptible convention argument in basic terms is going so far, USC performed it relatively is susceptible convention (on the time, now Oregon and AZ state have better) and then won a pair championships against no longer easy communities, OSU won against a solid Miami team. pass the plus one, bypass appropriate to eight team playoffs if something.

0% Michigan will lose to Illinois, they haven't beaten a spread offense all year, so even if they beat OSU, which they won't, they will still have 3 losses
