Edie

Edie is really cute, and I think it's starting to come back as one of those old-fashioned names (with Edith and everything). What's her middle name? Maybe you could get something out of that too. Denny is also cute, but I prefer nicknames starting with the same letter as the first name (like, what if she grows up with the nn and uses it everywhere - initials will be a pain in the ***). Eddy? etc. Congrats to your friend though for having the baby and giving it such a cute name =D

I definitely think Edie - the cutest nickname by far. Eden is lovely!

Edie is pretty much the only nickname for Eden. I guess you could her Denny, if you want her to be associated with a greasy diner chain.

Garden or Paradise.

Excuse me, but you asked for a nickname, not a shortened version of her name. A nickname is like calling a big guy "Tiny". Calling her Denny or Edie or anything like that is just another version of her name and not a nickname. That's like calling a girl named Barbara "Barb", which is why I gave the gave the names I did. At least they would be real nicknames.

Maybe her mother doesn't want her to be given a nickname.... not everyone likes that.

I'd be pis*ed if someone assumed they were going to call my child something other than their full given name....

Eden does not need a nickname..... NO name needs a nickname....

Why would you want to shorten such a beautiful name??? If her mother wanted a nicname she would have put it on her birth certificate!!!!!!!! Give the baby the honour of using her proper name please!!!!!!!!!!!! Have you ever thought that maybe your friend will be annoyed if you try otherwise??
