What is your cooking ability? Do you want this for real food or just dessert snacks?
Just add food coloring to anything and you'll pretty much have it. Food coloring to the marshmallows in Rice Krispy Treats. Or for real food Spinach-Artichoke dip is kinda creepy looking. Especially if you buy the multi colored chips--like they serve at Moes. Black and red ones.
One my friends makes pimento cheese on rye bread--that way you have an orange and dark brown (close to black).
Blueberries make a really creepy color. Also dying any liquid the blood red is great. I like dried fruit like apicots or make a punch. You can never have too much drink.
I'm sure by the time I finish typing this someone will have posted dirt pudding--also found online as Oreo pudding with gummy worms.
Remember you want to have stuff you actually want to EAT as well as be spooky.

put the burgers in the oven and on the grill and cook them however u choose
cut the burger buns in half if they arent already). get a platter and put the bottom halves on the platter
then put 1 patty on each bottom half. use a knofe to cut the cheese in a zig zag pattern to look like sharp teeth then put it on top of the patty to look liek theeth
put the top bun on and take to pickle ridged chip and put them in the center. then use ketchup to make them look like eyes
the creepiest salad bar
lettuce mixture of ur choice(weeds and grass)

cherry tomatoes (vampire eyeballs)
mushrooms (sliced toadstool)
mozzerella cheese (mummy bandages)

out each ingredient into an appropriate sized bowl and label them so your guests can know what each thing is. set it out and enjoy

Use an 11 x 13 inch pan. Fill half-way w/ chocolate pudding.
Use oval shaped cookies cut in half as tombstones. (e.g. Pepperidge Farms Milanos) & use tiny tubes of frosting to decorate them so they look like tombstones.
Crush chocolate wafers to create "dirt." Use Halloween candy in the shape of pumpkins, gummi worms and marshmallow ghosts (made by Peeps) & tiny figurines to decorate the "graveyard."
You can also make deviled eggs, fiery "baby dragon" wings (i.e. spicy chicken wings), spaghetti & eyeballs (use ground chicken breast instead of beef).

How about a severed arm? Get bread, cover it in a sleeve, put strawberry jelly on the end, and make a hand shape with the bread.
