A world renowned nobel peace prize winner believes much of the troubles of the world is related to the false assumption that the races are equal. The following is his quote.
"All our social policies are based on the fact that their intelligence is the same as ours - whereas all the testing says not really"

SO IS THIS THE END OF AFFIRMATIVE ACTION?

All races are definitely not equal. That is not saying one is inferior to another, though. I believe part of the problems today is that people and societies are being forced together that are not the same. A person who lives in NYC has different intelligence than someone who herds sheep in the middle east somewhere. Does that make one dumber than the other, no. The man from NY does not know the things the middle eastern needs to know to survive and on the same token, the middle eastern herder probably counldn't get by to well in the NY'ers world. So, what test would you give? A math or science test may benefit the NY'er and show him to be more "intelligent", but in things that do not relate to the life of the herder.
That is why I think we have problems. We don't want religion to rule our lives and others don't want McDonalds on evry corner. Who is wrong and who is right? I think we have been forced together by technology, but to say in a blanket statement that one race is smarter is just plain stupid.

Yeah I saw something about that guy. I have a few things to say.

No matter if he's right about the whole "racial intelligence" gene - and the "Bell Curve" only talks about one or two IQ points in the grand scheme of things, which doesn't matter - there will be NO resources dedicated to studying it ... NO one is going to investigate his assertions ... and NO one is going to treat him as anything other than a kook. The reason for this is, society can't have someone buck its sacred cows (more on that below) and is fearful of the possibility that what it has worshipped is a lie. I believe we are all equal before God and in our hearts, but to be brutally honest, if there really was anything to that I'd want to know about it.

And it won't happen.

Because I assure you, if it does, there will be riots in EVERY American city with at least a plurality black population. There will be bloodshed and death. They don't want that on their hands. Who would?

The second reason for my assertion, is that people are scared to death of offending someone else. Anyone coming out with an assertion other than the pat "everyone is equal in every respect, dissent ist verboten" line would be hated by the American as well as the majority of the European community.

On a lighter note, and on another one of this guy's declarations that hit the news (link below) along with this, everyone has wished that stupidity could be cured at one point or another.

The part about making all girls pretty had me smiling. (Yes, I am a man. Deal with it.)

PS: yes, I do agree, affirmative action is nothing more and nothing less than state sanctioned racism.

All races have smart people and dumb people. And all races want to beleive they are better than everyone else.

But think about this, race is an arbitrary man-made designation (phenotype, that is, the way they look), there is no scientific way to say a person is a member of a particular race (genotype, we all have the same basic genes). Part of this is that we all are a mix of the genes that are typical of other races phenotypes, meaning we each carry genes that are found in members of other races that that code for traits of other races.

Whoever made this comment is an idiot.

There is no connection between race and intelligence.

To insist otherwise is not only racist but, absolutely incorrect.

Affirmative action is also racist and should be done away with. Furthermore, those who benefited from affirmative action should apologize and we should consider them paying reparations to those it harmed.
