I named my kids Sahara and Sasha (boy). I would ask them from time to time if they were teased about their names. I never heard them say yes. Kids will be kids and if they are going tease about a name they will do so. Oliver is a wonderful sweet name. And one should never base their child's name on what others have named their children

There is a little bot in my son's class named Oliver. He is a terror. I have always theorized it's because his name is Oliver and his brother got the cool name, Jackson.

I agree with "Shelly"... kids will make fun of a name no matter what it is.... Anyway, what is there to make fun of about Oliver? It's a very cute name, for a child and an adult.

I love that name. I named my kitten that and we called him Ollie. Whenever I think of that name though I get sad, because he was born in about May, we got hime in June, and we had to puit him to sleep in the beginning of Oct. because he had a bad disease called FIP. But I love that name....sorry to get kinda off topic.
