I work at a jewlery store, where the majority of what we sell are beads of all kinds, such as from China, crystal ones, and those that are homemade. I was speaking to my boss this Monday, about how fun it would be to see a place, where the round thingies are made. Thanks.

Just a quick note for those who answered my TB Test inquirey, I had it done yesterday, and it felt more like being scratched by someone or something, rather than a pain. It wasen't bad, at all. Thanks for the answers you gave.

There are bead factories all over the world. You can find their locations by looking at the search lists I have provided below.

There are also many home-based bead makers who sell their beads to dealers who then sell them to stores. You can find some at www.thehungersite.com

You should send that in as a suggestion to that How Things are Made TV show.

There's a documentary that's been floating around on cable about Mardi Gras beads that are made in China. Apparently, the conditions are so good.

Sadly, most beads, etc are made overseas. It would be cool to see.

I'm not sure where you are located, but if you ever wanted to try and make your own, there are glass bead making kits at Pat Catan's craft store. They are about $60 or so but I thought it would be very cool to try it! In Pittsburgh, we have an art glass center and these places make beads

Go to Murano in Italy. There they make the art glass beads.
