There is a rule of thumb that says, "If you want to know what your wife will look like after 20 years of marriage, just look at her mother".

How is she different in appearance since you married her? Is your wife way hotter than when you married her or not? How is she similar to her mother physically?

BTW it is possible for a woman to get way hotter than when you first married her. I know one or two and both had kids. However, it is rare.

Please share a story. Please write more than 5 sentences. I got the time to listen.

I am working on a research project on love and psychology. Please do not be rude and answer this like an adult.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

I think you'd do better to spend some time observing women and their mothers. This is one of those things you hear about and think. . . "blah blah, yeah, whatever" when you're 20 years old. But over time, you start to notice things that "old" folks always talked about as being true.

Parental resemblence is SCARY. The first time you find yourself doing something or saying something like your parent, you freak out. Then, people start "noticing" you more. We all absolutely turn into our parents to some degree.

There are no hard rules, since we come from a unique genetic mix of two individuals. We take on some traits from both parents. You also have to account for environment. If the girl was raised to eat like a pig. . . you see what I'm saying?

Again, really look at people and you'll start to see. As a scientist, I like to observe people. Here's some examples from my life.

1. My face kind of looks like my dad, and I have some mannerisms that are exactly like him.
2. My sister has a totally different body than my mom, yet she's beginning to resemble mom in some ways.
3. Sometimes you can look at someone young and just know they'll look "really old" when they're old.
4. I knew a girl who's mom was pretty chunky, but the daughter was still hot. Man, a couple of months of stress and she packed on the pounds (I took the warning, heeded the old saying and got the heck out)
5. I dated a girl who's mom is trim and fit (feisty old lady) but her daughter recently turned into a porker. go figure
6. I'm pretty sure my wife's face will stay pretty for a long time. Her mom and grandmother aged well.

I could go on, but again I stress visual observation. You'll see for yourself soon enough.

i don't really know about getting hotter, but some people find more confidence when married. This comes across as "hotter" Also, sometimes spouses will influence each other's fashion and style. You could have a hidden hot chick who takes off the glasses and works out then becomes hot (like they always do in movies)

Some people are just ugly, though. I suppose guys are more likely to improve as they become "distinguised looking" (sp?) Again, look at some yearbook pictures, then compare to the people at age 28-32. Some folks will lose their hair, pork out and just be nasty. Some will come into their own and be smoking hot career women or men. Dressed well, confident, etc.

Again, look around. Go to the mall and just watch people. You'll see it.

To be honest with you. My mom was a hottie when she first got married and then she got older and gained some weight. Now she's older than that and she lost the weight and more and is an incredible looking 50 year old.
I was alot thinner when I first got married. I have since had 2 kids who are now teenagers and I am finally losing the weight. I personally feel alot better about my looks now.
I should be lucky to look like my mom when I'm 50.

No my wife did not quite turn out like her mother. A bit of her father is in her. She does get a few traits of her mother but she is getting over some of them but getting others. She has gotten a little larger over 15 years. She is not an outdoor person. If she would do more stuff from working on things in the yard to other hobbies she would trim up a bit but hey i'm getting to be more like my pa except for the hair loss. My wife is cooking more like my family cooks than her mother does because I do not eat the way my mother in law cooks.

I guess that saying I have heard is if you want to know what your wife will be like in 20 years as opposed to what they will look like.

My husband said at our wedding to the whole crowd, that if I am like my mom in 20 years he couldn't ask for any better because my mom is so wonderful. So sweet!! It made her cry.

I don't think that I look that much like my mom did when she was my age so I wouldn't anticipate looking like she does now in 20 years. I hope that I have the same loving, caring, selfless spirit that she has whether or not I look like her.

It's all because of the "Curse of living with a man" . Hee* hee Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. To some husbands their wives remain as beautiful as the day they met. Such is the case with my hubby. :)
