Mallory on Family Ties. No, I don't care for that kind of name.
It's too much of a copycat name. Same with Madison, from the movie Splash. The thing is, SO many people use those names that they end up sounding like everybody else, when the idea WAS supposed to be something DIFFERENT. I say use a traditional name, then at least it won't sound like a silly fad.

The first thing I thought of is the tv show "Family Ties". Unless you're in your 30's you wouldn't know who Malory was. But, the name is ok.

I like it. The only Mallory I ever heard of was on that old sitcom Family Ties with Michael J Fox.

Others similar that I like are Madaline, Melanie, or Melodie.
