She does sound unstable and they might have a point. Maybe you need to convince them you are stable enough to handle those friends?

The are scared you'll get emotionally drawn into her battles of self image and hurt yourself. Or worse, be in a situtation where they cannot help you. Friends who do bad things or painful things or thing society does not allow can cause your reputation and your life to be in jeopardy.

Your parents want you safe and sound, the world is full of things they do not want for you, since any parent wants good things to happen to thier children, not bad.

Hurts your feelings, or makes you sad, but they do what is best at the time for your health. Ask them what you should do. Maybe they can help.

you could no longer resolve the international's issues...purely think of all the drama that is going on in human beings's lives which you do no longer understand approximately, yet they stay all around you. Your head could incredibly explode huh? So once you do come to comprehend the biggest factors approximately somebody's life, purely comprehend your guy or woman barriers and that once you're making some efforts to assist, it relatively is purely as much as them what they'll decide. stay via occasion and shelter your guy or woman household initiatives, do no longer enable your self get dragged down with them. some all and sundry is purely hell-bent on their own self destruction and yours as nicely in case you enable them to.

Your parents need to realize that it's the worst thing to keep people away from self mutilators. I would have them do some research so that they can understand that it is important for others to be around them.

If you chose not to, then you may have to see your friend in secret until things blow over. Your friend needs you.

i would defenitly tell her about it, make sure that you talk to your parents and make them listen and open their eyes that this world isnt perfect and as long as you like her and she isnt harming you then i would try to convince them to let you be with her, look at it form the parents point of view and it wouldnt be good if you daughter went from being nice to mean because of this girl. hope this helps!
