They have looked strong besides the loss at cal, can they finish the season staying ranked in the top then?

Actually, I think the game against cal says a lot about this team... they can play, and they can play hard... they played extremely well in that game and held the lead for a portion of that game...

The rest of their schedule, however, does not play into their favor. Their three hardest games are all in the next three weeks and should def. show what they are made of. First, they have the road game to Washington... who's 0-2 in Pac-10 and 2-4 overall, however, this Washington team has played (and played well) against USC, Ohio State and Arizona State... Jake Locker, QB is a freshman and quite an athlete... ability to run and throw...

Then, they have USC... desperately needing a win esp. with a ranked team to save their season... a shocking loss to Stanford and a dissappointing 20-13 win with Arizona... this team has something to prove this season...

But last, and most importantly, the 4-0 Pac-10 team Arizona St. leads this conference and comes in at the end of the three weeks to tests and tribulations to the Oregon Ducks...

If they can hold on to wins during these three weeks, I believe you will see substantial improvement in their ranking... right now they sit tied for 4th in the Pac-10 but wins in these games would boost their conference standing and probably send them to a pretty big bowl game...

So good luck... hope they do well!

Absolutely. They will bi-pass USC and ASU as they did with Michigan. Cal was just bad luck. Even they lost 2 key players for the rest of the season, the team is very strong to hold on until they beat the crap out of Ohio State.

As a Cal fan, I would like nothing more, because it would increase our SOS and it would mean Cal will get to go to the Rose Bowl (if Cal and Oregon tie for pac 10 title).
So, yes, I sure hope so.
Also, USC is not winning at both Cal and Oregon, but it is likely they lose both.
ASU has not played anyone, so they don't count either.

No your sitting Ducks for the trojans, course you can always get a little help from your officiating crew if you cant beat them heads up.
