What can I put on the edges of CD wheels in my rubber band car so they wont spin instead of moving the car? But also so they wont stick to the floor(linoleum). Ive tried silicone glue but that just made the wheels stick to the ground. Its for a physics project, any advice?

What if you notch them, or dip them in glue, sprinkle on some sand, and let it dry?

Slice some silicon 1/8" or 3/32 tubing longways and epoxy glue it on.

Or, go to a Hobby shop and purchase a stuff called "cockpit coping" and glue that on.

Try taking one CD and sanding the edges down a small amount, then glueing it in between two non sanded CD's and when it dries, put an appropriate size rubber band in the groove. That will not only give you a makeshift tire, but add some weight for traction.

Use your imagination! And, good luck! Win the race! Be a champ! Go for it! Hooray for you!
