when growing pumpkins how many times a day do you have to water the pumpkins?, are you suppose to water them daily , every 2 days or what?

This may sound kind of vague, but water them when the soil gets dry. Pumpkins tolerate short periods of hot, dry conditions fairly well. If you see the leaves start to wilt a bit, they need watering. If the soil is moist around the plant, they don't need watering.

Also, pumpkin plants like a good soaking type of irrigation. Avoid getting the leaves wet, or this may foster powdery milder growth. When the blossoms bloom, they need to be pollenated. If you don't have bees around, you'll have to do it manually (take a blossom off of one plant and rub it into the blossom of another plant).

Depending on where you live, it might be too late for the pumpkin plants to produce fruit. They should be started in May in colder climates for a Halloween harvest, June in warmer climates. That means it takes about 120 to 150 days (4 or 5 months) for the pumpkins to be ready for harvest from the time you plant the seed.

I would water them daily.
