What is a Microphone Marine?

In the news, Rush Limbaugh made another insult to our brave members of the armed forces by calling them Microphone Marines.
I know its an insult, but can someone explain what it means?

The news was wrong, Rush Limbaugh was called a microphone marine. He did not call anybody a microphone marine. Go check out his webpage to see what the definition of a microphone marine is.

BTW: I am a US Marine and I listen to his show, I have not heard him insult any service person.
