The spelling Jancie looks too much like Janice and I like it with the Y

I'm asking because that's my actual name. I've gotten a lot of compliments on it because it's different, but was just curious whether the consensis here would be a "yea" or a "nay"

I'm asking because that's the actual name I was given when I was born in the 70's. I've gotten compliments on it because it's different but I have never heard it before. I was curious what everyone else thought - if it'd get a "yea" or a "nay". Please don't be too mean - it's really my name and I'm stuck with it!

I don't mean to insult you but I do not like the name Jancye at all -- I had no idea how to pronounce it. If I heard it I wouldn't know how to spell it.

I love the name Elaine though.

Honestly, I think Jancye is trashy. I love Elaine, though.
