In some cultures arranged marriages are the norm. I think it should depend on the two people who are put into the arrangement as to whether or not they want to get married without really knowing each other. They could still go with family wishes but they could get to know each other first.

My first marriage was arranged and that didn't work out too well. Unfortunately it was arranged by drugs and alcohol.

Nope, i belive everyone should choose the person they want to marry.. even if others do not think it will last. Everybody deserves their own chance to marry someone they want.
