Oh brother, here we go again.

Yes, it's one of the biggest scams out there. Look them up here: http://ripoffreport.com/ They train their workers to tell everyone who goes there that they can make it in the business. Please! They lie lie lie from the start. They try to sell you high priced but worthless classes. And by the way, they are NOT an agency. All they do is 'teach' if you can call it that. They hook you in for their worthless classes, they try to sucker you in to taking expensive photos with an in house photographer who may be terrible, then they try to get even more money from you by telling you you have a chance to go to some convention where they try to get talent agents to go. What realy happens is they pay agencies to send reps who end up being their assistants and no one ever really gets signed.

Post another question and ask about what you really want to do. Do you want to act, model, or what? What experience if any do you have and what state do you live in?

They have been around for years (since the 70's). I had a girlfriend who went there and she had to pay all this money to pay for modeling lessons, photos, etc. After thousands of dollars poorer she never got one modeling job. Get head shots made on your own and hit the modeling agencies. Or if there are any modeling contests...enter those. John Robert Powers has absolutely no contacts with the agencies.

Yes, it's a scam. They're not a legimate agency. They won't get you jobs modeling. They'll just charge you thousands for "modeling classes".

I went there before and they wanted me to pay a lot of money. Even though they tell you that you are really good they probably do mean it but it will take a lot of money and commitment.
