LATJ, In 2005, I took the course to become a F.E.M.A. Disaster Housing Inspector, My Inspector # 58,XXX.
Because of a heart attack, in Feb. 2007( and a month of lost time), I did not 're qualify'.
However, IF a "Federally Declared Disaster" were to occur, there is no way you would be reimbursed for the photo album, however the other stuff you have listed, would be 'reimbursable'.
You would be best advised to take your homeowners insurance policy, at least your last years tax notification / assessment/s, and all/ any auto registration with you, OR have these documents safely stored in a bank safety deposit box.
IF you are caught in such a disaster, CONTACT ME, IMMEDIATELY, AS I DO KNOW THE PROCESS THAT WILL GLEAN YOU THE MAX. AMOUNT OF FINANCIAL BENEFITS.

None. If there was a tornado on the way, you'd need food, water, blankets, a flashlight or two, batteries, and so on.
None of the stuff listed will help you survive a tornado.
If you really HAVE to take one of the above list, you'd have to decide what means the most to you.
The laptop might help if you're trapped, but that is only if the battery isn't dead, and if you still have internet access. A lot of ifs.
I live in tornado country in Tennessee, and we have bad storms predicted for later on tonight.

Wow. Well, if you have any really special jewelry, take it with you. I'm not talking about the latest silver necklace from the Tiffany's Catalog. I'm talking about stuff that has been passed down from generation to generation. Save as much of that stuff as you can. You better bring your photo album. You can't replace those. Bring some food, water, a flashlight, and turn your TV up on max.

I'm happy you're taking your dog. Most people would just leave their pets to die. It's awful. :-(

Good luck. God bless. :-)

Family Photo Album. Those other things can be replaced, but the photos are one of a kind.

Send the dog to the basement right now, then if it's heirloom jewelry, shove it in your pockets and grab the album. A laptop can be replaced.

Who cares.
I have been through one before that took my whole house.
We almost died in it. We were in the eye of an f4 tornado.
Save yourself..who cares about anything else.
It is serious stuff, not something you should put a question on here for people to joke about it.
You don't know how it is or feels to go through one.
Grr. People make me mad.
