slope is rise over run, or change in X over change in Y

the change in rise is 3 feet, the change in distance is 20 feet

the slope of the zip line is -3/20

or think of the 2 towers as points on a coordinate grid

(0, 9) and (20, 6)

(y1-y2)/(x1-x2)=(9-6)/(0-20)=3/(-20)=(-3/20)

Slope is the ratio of rise to run.

In this case the rise is 3 feet (9-6)
The run is the horizontal distance which is 20 feet.
The slope is calculated by dividing the rize by the run or 3/20
or 0.15

Slope = rise / run

rise = 9-6 = 3ft
run = 20 ft

thus, slove = 3/20

slope is rise over run, 9-6 = 3 over 20. if you need it as an angle, 3/20 is the tangent of the angle, so Θ = 8.53°.
