How do i become popular?

o.k i'm kinda pretty and i am at that age where boys are life. IDK where to shop. But i do see all the popular girls wearing aero, abercrombie, hollister, etc. I need to be popular cause all my friends are. They are sleeping over tomorrow and i want to act cool in front of them. What should i do?

always be postive about everything,

do stupid stuff, such as dance, sing.

JUST HOLD ON A WEE MINUTE

All the popular girls wear Aero, Abbercrombie and Hollister etc.. why? COZ THEY HAVE NO INNATE SENSE OF FASHION or STYLE. They are wearing the same uniform that says they can't think for themselves - they are taking an easy option of copying others - do you really wanna do that???

I realise that your initial urge is to try to become popular by being something that is foreign to you - you hint at having had some doubts. What clothes make you look good - what colour combinations can you wear that will emphasise your own personal styling and values. Keep it simple and use accessories sparingly.

If you get this right - they will want to copy you - coz you will be lookin' gooood! And attracting all the meaningful boy's attention. (Their problem is they are not you - no matter how hard they try) This is actually a good idea, coz if they all try to copy you and get it half-way wrong - you will look absolutely great while they will look like also rans.

Boys around your age are relatively dumb - but they don't always want to approach the cookie-cutter idea of what is popular. (unless they remain tragically shallow). If you can find something that makes you look good and you are comfortable wearing - just go for it girl!

Guys have an inbuilt Confidence-Detector - if you can be confident in what you are wearing - you will look like a million dollars to the right guy

Ughhh... I hate the word "Popular" It's cruel and it hurts people too.. Honestly, I don't try to fit in. I don't think it's worth it for them to backstab you behind you're back, tell you're secrets, then winding up CRUSHING you emotionally and socially.. Trust me, I would know. I've pretty much been through it all. Pure pressure, even worse, I admit, I do wear all those name brands and w/e I wear because, I personally like it. I don't wear things that cool people wear because, I'm more a leader than follower and acting cool makes you less cool... Be yourself if they don't except you for the great person that you are then it's they're loss not yours... Alright, my work here is done! Hope this helps! :]

Being popular is a lot different than what you think. Just because you shop at abercrombie and hollister doesn't mean anything. Now, everyone wears it, so you're bound to wear the same shirt as someone else one day.

i recommend just being yourself, and wearnig clothes that YOU like. And you can have vaerities of cltohing from different places, not just Abercrombie and Hollister.

Well, you could emulate, emulate, emulate, but then you become like one of my old friends, she eventually got lost in the cesspool that is the "popular crowd" and is just obviously fake. It's sad, it really is.

Really you should aim for the "smart/cool/well rounded" click at your school haha xD

But seriously, stay true to yourself, once you do that, it doesn't matter what "click" you are in, you will be happy. That's what happened to me, I tried for a long time to fit in the popular crowd, but then I finally decided that I was just going to be me, and not care about what other people thought. (This was at the end of 8th grade btw) And, I have not regretted that decision since = )

If all your friends are popular chances are you are too. In fact by inviting them over you have raised your popularity level. So good job. Tip could be not to get angry often keep your cool. Laugh alot, and relax, act casual, act like your not trying to impress anyone.

you only get one life, why waste it trying to please someone else?
be yourself.
your true friends will like you that way.

and in 20 years, you will probably wish you wasted less time on being 'popular' and more time on making true friends that you will keep for life who like you for more than your appearance.

if you made all these popular friends and then showed up to school in a completely horrible outfit, i bet a lot of them would ignore you because it would be bad for their image.
and if you hung out with them long enough, you might even do the same thing.

people always say being yourself makes you popular, that can make you the head of popularity, but sometimes yourself is kina lame, or weird, in truth being yourself can mean being a nice person that alot of people like, but being popular is more being as fake, brand name, cliche and plastic as you possibly can

I agree with "Ya" kinda, you would have to be positive and talk alot, and instead of siting at home on a computer go out and have fun with other popular ppl until your part of the group. you have to be talkative. idk about the just start singing stuff lol it would be funny tho

personally i hate those stores
i always shop at kohls and my clothes are still hot and cheaper
i dont really want to say this but......... dont say gay things like "gosh darnit", "golly", or anything ur grandma says laugh wen they laugh and dont laugh unless they do
