Just so you know, that whole Amnesty Bill was drawn up by 2 Democrats and I think it was his way of trying to come to some sort of agreement on some issue with them. The Conservatives in Congress voted against this bill. I'm still proud to be a Conservative. Even if I wanted to change, I can't. These are my beliefs and this is who I am. Nothing anyone can say or do will ever change that.

HELLO!!! James,
I must say that no I am not really ashamed I voted for him twice for President of the U.S.A. There are some things that I am not happy with but that has been the case with former Presidents.
I wish he could get Congress to rebuild our Military because we have shown the rest of the world that we are kind of weak.
I support OUR TROOPS in Iraq the only problem is they are spread way to thin. A lot of it has to fall on Congress also.
I also blame the Generals that say they don't need any more troops. I will try and send you a couple of e-mails to explain more.

Since I don't know the man personally, I can't say. I can only go by what I have observed, and he seems to have a very closed mind. He only hear what he wants to and will not listen to anything that does not follow his preconceived notions.

Funny, but I almost agree with you except for the fact of the way you ended your statement.
Bush's behavior that made me ashamed of the fact that I had voted for him (in 2000), was when he asked the federal courts for that injunction to stop the recounts in Florida. When I heard the nature of his (Ted Olson's) legal argument, I lost all confidence that Bush would be inclined to pick the right kind of Sup. Ct. Justices. And so far, I am not impressed with either John Roberts or Sam Alito.

He doesn't cause me to be ashamed. In both elections, he was superior to anyone running against him in the Republican Primary, and infinitely better than Gore or Kerry.
Your points are legit, and on my gripe list too...except for the part about the policies making the US hated...as long as I've been alive, we are hated just like the High School prom king...we are rich, attractive, and live good! I don't want that to change, either.

I think between George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Larry Craig, Mark Foley and David Viter, the Republicans have a lot to be ashamed of.
But they will try to deny it and twist the facts, because that is what they do best.
Republicans are full of hypocrisy.

Except the whole illegal immigrant thing too... what the hell
But other than that, he's your president too. Respect him. Be glad we don't have terrorists turning America into a playground.

whenever someone says we are hated around the world it makes me feel good because it usually means we are putting our interests first and not the haters,it actually means the pres is doing the right things, when Clinton was in office terrorism ran unchecked and all the libs thought everything was just great
