IMO, both can make the simplest of things complex through the words and processes they use. Other than the sciences which are inherently difficult, no mainstream profession besides these two are guilty. It's no wonder the US spends more for our legal and education systems than other nations while getting less for the money.

All professions have their own lexicon. I can hardly understand carpenters talking about some of their work. Proper professional vocabulary can indicate both knowledge and experience. It should not be used to obfuscate dialog with people outside of the field.
