Ok so for my History 10 class I need to write a 2 page story or diary entry...

I chose the option that says: You are a native american in a spanish colony. Describe your lifestyle before spanish arrival to that of your life working in gold and silver mines or on a plantation now in the year 1535.

I have an idea of how bad it was for the indians from my text book, but do you guys have anything I should put in here? Thanks so much! :)

How about:

I walked a free man amongst the grass and hunted for food, but with the coming of the white man not only did I lose my freedom but also lost the wildlife that I hunted. Till he came knew not what was the flu nor the cold, but with him he brought death and illness in the air.

Before the Spanish, they could roam around wherever they chose and hunt anywhere they wanted.

After the Spanish they were treated like slaves.
