There is a gasket in the handle. You need a screw driver and a wrench. Take the old one down to the hardware store and buy a match and put it back together. Oh.. make sure and turn off the water first. Home Depot, Lowes or a local hardware store have people that can show you a faucet and explain how to do it. It is really simple.

Shower Leaking Hot Water

Give the 10 to DISK,,,it isn't at all the fault of the head in the strict sense, although it shouldn't LEAK, no matter. The issue is that the hot water valve, behind the handle is allowing water to continue to flow. The suggestions to CLEAN or change the shower head are OK, but perhaps not at all neccesary, and will not solve the problem as stated.

Water goes where it wants, as evidenced on our planet in hundreds of examples. If it wasn't leaking at the shower head it might be degrading the interior of the walls and floor adjacent to the HEAD.

Its the rubber washer in the faucet need the shower head. Pop the cap off the handle and take the screw out so you can remove the handle. Then use an adjustable wrench to remove the body. You will seal the rubber washer when you take out the body. Replace this with same size. Don't forget to turn off the water first

it's not your shower head that's leaking, it's the valve on the wall. Fix this and your problem will go away. DO IT QUICK, it's costing you money.

try putting some CLR in a bowel and sticking your shower head in it. This can be done while its still attached. sometimes water can cause mineral build up in your shower head. You can buy it at most general merchandise stores or hardware stores.
OR
