of course im not asking someone to tell me exactly how much weight i'll lose and when. i know everyone is different. im just asking for an estimate. how fast does the average person lose weight under theses circumstances?

It just depends honey. BUT with my First I gained 35lbs and then right after I had my daughter I was within 5 lbs of my pre pregnancy weight. (I had retained ALOT of fluid)

Breastfeeding does help and it also helps bring your Uterus back to the normal size. You can't really go on a diet while breastfeeding.. BUT you can eat healthy and exercise and that will help ALOT>> BUT no heavy exercise until after your 6 week check up. You need to heal first and get plenty of rest. BUT You should be able to walk .. But plop baby in stroller and walk around the mall or the block. Where we lived at the time It was constantly snowing so I would go to the mall and walk around there and push the stroller. Then after my check up I started doing other exercises.

As soon as your Dr. okays you to exercise though GO FOR IT>> as long as you feel up for it.. the quicker you try to work off the extra weight the easier it will be.

GOOD LUCK!! and Congrats on your Pregnancy.. NOT TOO MUCH LONGER!!! YAY

Breastfeeding will help you to lose a ton of weight after the baby is born. (by my 6th week check up I had lost 35 pounds). But be careful with exercising a lot after baby is born because too much can make your milk taste bitter and cause baby to quit nursing.

Most weight loss after a baby is born will be based on your activity, your diet (which you'll still have to consume an extra 300-500 calories to sustain an adequate milk supply) and your metabolism. And remember it took 9 months to gain...it's going to take at least that long to get rid of. Don't be too disappointed if you never make it back down to your goal weight....

And make sure that you start eating healthy. It'll help you and hubby both in the long run. PLUS over-weight parents tend to have over-weight children simply because they don't make separate meals for their children...and also because their own bad habits color what they expect of their children. (I'm not saying that you will just something to think about)

Good luck.

Wow!!! So familiar!!! I weighed 135 when I got pregnant and weighed 198 the day I gave birth. I never got back to 135. Today, after 2 more kids I weigh 160. I'm happy with that. Make sure you eat right especially these last weeks of pregnancy. I gained 21 pounds my last month of my first pregnancy...ouch! Stay active as much as you can after the baby is born. Walking is good. You may never be back down to 135. Learn to love your new body and stay halthy.

There's absolutely no way for anyone to tell you. Too many factors, including your personal biochemistry and metabolism, to take into consideration. Simply start eating healthy, and exercise when your doctor clears you after your baby is born, and you'll start to lose weight. But remember that you *cannot* restrict your caloric intake while breastfeeding, or else your milk will dry up.

well, breastfeeding will get you there real quick!
my friend lost her pregnancy weight & then some during breastfeeding, i think a total of 60 lbs or something, in just a few months (maybe about 4 or 5, max?). (she also exercised & ate right, but nothing drastic). producing milk takes more calories than being pregnant.

It depends on how much you work out and how you eat. I lost all the baby weight within 3 months, and was back in my size 2's.

that would depend on your eating habits and whether or not you exercise after you have the baby. it would be impossible for anyone to tell you how long it will take to get to the weight you want.

Unfortunately, the weight is not just going to go away. Gotta work it off and if you are determined enough, you will lose it.
