Sorry dlwelnel, he did no longer have a point 5, he had point one million - 4 yet that's undesirable adequate. See Timmyt's answer for a suited description of the grading device for indecent photographs of young ones. one million is bare photographs - 4 is sexual penetration, so in different words he has been finding at photographs of adults raping little ones. the sole element worse than a 4 is a 5 that's beastiality or sadism regarding little ones. Any sexual suggestions or strikes in direction of little ones is disgusting and ill. they might desire to hold returned striking for 'people' like this.

Well, I grew up on mediocrity filling the TV screen and radio, so before the 90's. What's sad is so many children today look up to their idols as if they were gods and those people have absolutely no reason to be put on a pedestal for the youth.

Ummm Never.
But in America it's about the norm in everything, most especially in the Music Industry. I'm not going to sit here and give You examples, that would take all day and I would run out of bands to cite before I hit the 5% mark. Short Answer, the Record Company executives have the formula figured out. Find somebody that sells CD's, and cookie cutter as many bands as possible to sound just like them. The American people, just like the sheep most of them are, will buy the product in droves. Producing three results #1 Making Me totally sick. #2 Making themsleves tons of money from idiotic lemmings. And #3 Completely destroying Rock Music.
Sad, isn't it?

it is a very good question.
Funny, but a very good question.

But haven't some kids always wanted to be a singer or actor and eventually get over it? Didn't some of us want to be like the singer and actors of the '70s, '80s, '90s?

I'm not blaming MTV either, c'mon people.

I don't know when it happened, but it really annoys me that it did. I thought we were supposed to keep raising the bar, and not lowering it. The example it's setting is not a good one.

By now our standards should be a little higher, if not for ourselves then for the future generations. And until we stop not just accepting, but praising, the mediocre, things won't change.

You know, everynight I tuck my boy (he's 7) into bed and lean over and whisper in his ear "Nickelback sucks".

I'm going to make sure he doesn't grow up with the same sheep mentality as every one else.
