My husband and I are going to TN in November. We will be in the Nashville area, and have ordered a Visitors Guide. Is there anything we should not miss? What are the best bars, country shows, things to see while we're there?

there is so much to do here- hope you have time! You must go to a Grand Old Opry show- tradition, you know! There are so many old mansions and plantations to tour- the Hermitage, Belle Meade Plantation, Belmont Mansion, Carnton Plantation in Franklin, Travellor's Rest, Rock Castle and Mansker's Fort in Hendersonville.... There is the Country Music Hall Of Fame and the Musician's Hall of Fame, Lower Broadway where a lot of the honky tonks and souvenir shops are, the Ryman Auditorium known as the mother church of country music, Printers Alley, the Hatchshow Print, the Wildhorse Saloon on 2nd Ave. and all the other cool places on 2nd., the River Walk on 1st Ave. make sure to stop in at Tootsies and Legends on Lower Broadway if you want famous bars/honky tonks and Jack's BBQ right down the street. There are beautiful parks- Centennial Park a couple miles down Broadway after it turns into West End had a full scale replica of the Parthenon, a pretty lake where you can feed the ducks and beautiful gardens and a walking trail. The Warner Parks- keep going down West End, it'll turn into Harding and then Hwy. 100- and you'll get some beautiful hiking trails that are a little more rustic. Lots of golf courses, movies theaters, wonderful restaurants, etc. nashville is a great place to visit and a better place to live! We moved here 6 years ago and Love it! have fun on your vacation. You definitely want to go to Franklin, TN. It is SO beautiful there, and the people are amazingly sweet and accommodating. The Music City Sheraton is a beautiful hotel also. My cousin's live outside of Nashville, so I always to the family type stuff when I'm up that way. Going to a cousin's concert, etc. Hope y'all have fun!

I don't know what do do, but I do know where to stay. Me and my mom stayed at the Gaylord Oprea Land hotel and loved it! It is the most fun hotel too. Plus I thought that there were going to be kids everywhere like me but no. It was really nice here is the website: http://www.gaylordhotels.com/gaylordopryland/
But really also some things you can do in Nashville is go visit the famous Ryman Auditorium

Go downtown, lots of cool music, bars. Could go to a hockey or football game. Maybe a concert at the Ryman or the Gaylord. Have fun!
