Just register and gather together some old stuff you don't want or need anymore, e.g. Cds, books, games and DVDs.
All you have to pay for is the p & p. Every time you swap something, you accumulate soem points (depending on the value of the item).
Once you have accumulated a few points, you can start to request items from other swappers. They will pay the p & p.
Hey presto - free Christmas pressies and it's environmentally friendly too.

Anyplace advertising items for free ("Free! You pay only shipping and handling!") is trying to rip you off:

- The quality of the item will be low.

- The price for S&H will be high, high enough to include the cost of the item and then some.

- When you receive the item and see how junky it is, you can't return it to get your money back because it was "free"! They're sure not going to refund the shipping & handling fee.

Credit card companies routinely use this scam with ads printed on the billing envelope. They hope to lure the gullible by offering "free gifts". All they're really doing is making some bucks on the side by dumping cheap mass-produced crap that nobody would buy if they could actually hold it and try it out before deciding.

You are forewarned!
