every morning i sit on my front steps, and drink my coffee while my dog plays in the yard... but i always have to move the slugs before my dog licks 1... i thought i was saving them... i'd lift every 1 with a leaf and carefully place them in the garden together... BIG MISTAKE... only 1 very big slug would be left... so much for saving the slugs... i thought i was keeping their family together so they wouldnt' be lonely... i found out slugs are solitary creatures !!!

Yes, they do. Slugs are opportunists and will eat just about anything including their own species. Don't be too upset though because slugs are bad for your garden and the Cannibal is doing you a favor by killing off it's competition.
