If she does yell at you it will more then likely be because she CAUGHT you, not necessarily cause you are doing it. Masturbation is something you should do when the chances of being discovered are low. Your mother does not want to have to see you doing it, just like you would rather not see her doing it, if she does it.
It is more or less a private thing, just keep it that way and you should be fine.
