What qualities should a teacher possess

Love kids, patience, self-control (you don't want to say the wrong thing and get into trouble), love to help/teach others, good communicator

The only major quality that that a teachers should have in common is the liking of children. After that the personalities vary.

Each individual has qualities we can teach others and I cannot put anyone down as we (me included) all have things about ourselves that we could better.
One quality that would be an advantage would be patience as some students can be quite trying.
Another quality would be the ability to vary your methods of teaching so the students don't have time to get complacent.
I believe anyone that goes into teaching must have strength of character as it is a demanding job and can really be very enjoyable if they get their point across etc. To allow yourself the moment of each students graduation and the uplift of knowing you have helped them be what they are must be fantastic.

Organization skills. Ability to multi-task. Management/leadership or crowd control skills.
Negotiating skills for dealing with parents and administration.
Fund raising skills- any school will love ya!
