Would like to know views from Americans, and international people.
I know hatred exists everywhere, but was wondering about this aspect of it.

Is it because of:
Beliefs?
Geographical mass?
Policies?
People?
Past and present happenings?

America acts like the successor of the British Empire. America helped to defeat Germany and Japan in World War II, and the armed forces are still staying there. She helped South Korea, and the US military is still there. She helped Kuwait in 1991, and the US military is still there. Most of the 9/11 attackers were well-educated young men from Saudi Arabia, and what they fought for was to get the Americans out of their home country.

Any international law that is good enough for everybody does not apply to USA. American soldiers are not subjected to local laws of the host countries. The Bush administration does whatever it wants, and yet criticizes other governments for doing the same thing.

With an attitude like that, it is not difficult to attract enemies.

America is widely perceived to be arrogant in the extreme. And to not even fathom the concept that there are other countries and that these countries are not filled with "foreigners" but with people. I heard an American refer to a disaster that affected the world, when it in fact only affected America.

past actions by our government, policies,

AND the fact that most countries have a state owned/run press that will present America and Americans in a negative way because it is part of their political agenda

The Past, politics. Is Hatred something we are born with, and have to learn to overcome? Or is it something we learn as we grow?
