The Constitution does not specifically prohibit a person that has served two terms as president from being the Vice President. The XXII amendment says in part:
"No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. "
It never mentions vice president. Additionally, it does not prohibit a person that has been elected president twice from serving again as president, it prohibits them from being elected president. The way I read it Bill Clinton could be the vice president to any candidate and could fill the office of president if the president died in office or was otherwise incapable of acting as president.

The 22nd Amendment states that no person shall be elected to more than two terms as President. Nor shall anyone who has held the office, or acted as President for more than two years of a term be elected more than once.
It does not say that a former President cannot be elected Vice President. However, if Bill Clinton as Vice President, assumed the presidency, he could not be elected President in a future election, having already served two terms as President.
Finally, if Hillary asked Bill to run as her Vice President, it would be political suicide. Her campaign would come to an immediate halt, as most would suspect an ulterior motive on the part of the Clintons.

Actually, he could run for the office as there is no specific constitutional prohibition to him running. The 22nd ammendment only states that a former president cannot be elected President again if they served 2 terms or filled in for a president for more than 2 years, then was elected for 1 term.
The 12th ammendment prohibts a Vp from being elected on constitutional merits of citizenship, age or residency so chances are it would goto the supreme court to decide if he were eligable being a former 2 term president.
Than has not happened yet so in theory, he could very well be eligable to be VP.

Can't be for the one fact that he is a two term president and he can not serve as president again (If for some reason Hillary could not complete her term of office, a vice president takes over thus the problem).

No, he cannot...the purpose of the vice president is to fill in for the President should he not be able to fulfill his duties. Therefore since Bill Clinton has already served two terms he would not be eligible to stand in for the President.

confident, bill Clinton might desire to run as Hillary s Vice-Presidential working mate. Assuming bill maintained his non-end residency in the U.S., he could meet each and every of the Constitutional eligibility standards for being President (age, "organic born" citizenship, etc.). consequently, bill might desire to run for Vice-President. inspite of the reality that bill might desire to no longer be elected to the Presidency back, he might desire to grow to be President without an election by skill of succeeding Hillary if she died or in any different case couldn t finished her term. because of the fact the form (i.e., the twenty 2nd modification) in basic terms prohibits somebody from being elected President better than two times, bill s ascension to the Presidency without an election does no longer be unconstitutional.

Sounds like a winning ticket, but Obama could run after Hillary's eight years, and possibly give demos 16 years of control. One can always dream. The last time the repubs screwed up this bad, the demos controlled the presidency for 20 years.

Actually yes he can, the following is from nytimes.com:
The Constitution does not prevent Mr. Clinton from running for vice president. The 22nd Amendment, which became effective in 1951, begins: "No person shall be elected to the office of the president more than twice."
No problem. Bill Clinton would be running for vice president, not president. Scholars and judges can debate how loosely constitutional language should be interpreted, but one need not be a strict constructionist to find this language clear beyond dispute. Bill Clinton cannot be elected president, but nothing stops him from being elected vice president.

True, if Mr. Clinton were vice president he would be in line for the presidency. But Mr. Clinton would succeed Mrs. Clinton not by election, which the amendment forbids, but through Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution, which provides that if a president dies, resigns or is removed from office, his powers "shall devolve on the vice president." The 22nd Amendment would not prevent this succession.

Some people said on this site before that he could be VP but if Hillary died he could not become President. Not sure if it's true but it sounds reasonable.
They will never do that though because of the appearance of impropriety, kind of like if a Vice President pardoned the President of crimes who gave him the job - wait, that actually happened (Ford/Nixon)!

We don't need that kind of national disgrace and disaster !
If that did occur, Shrillary better fear for her miserable life..the Secret Service wouldn't take a bullet for her anyhow, and Slick Willie would just LOVE to be single AND President again. Lock up the interns !
