I have another week until I can take one of the early tests... just ovulated Saturday... I'm trying to keep my mind off of it. It didn't seem like too high of a possibility at first to me, but he's really worried about it, which is making me worried about it! Now would be bad timing for both of us, so we're sort of freaking a little. Any advice to get through the week? I'm having a hard time focusing at work...

Don't stress about it too much. I know.... easier said than done. The more stress, the less likely you will start on time.

What makes you think you are possibly pregnant anyway? Are you having symptoms? I know when I was pregnant with my son the only symptom I had right away (within 2 days) was EXTREME exhaustion. I didn't have morning sickness until I was about 5 weeks along. Everyone is different though.

Good luck! I hope you get the answer you are looking for.

well, the more you dwell, the more you freak. really, there's absolutely no reason to worry until you're late. The odds are still on your side. Also, and I know you don't want to hear this, but the tests that advertise that they can "early" read at 4-5 days before the period aren't always accurate that early. Meaning, even if you take it 5 days before and it's negative, I would test it again if you're late. They advertise it as a gimmick, but your hormones levels are very low then, so even the best tests can't always read it.

my folks tried 3 forms of birth control simultaneously to keep from getting pregnant. Here I am! They tried that because they thought they could not afford to have me right then. they wanted to wait two more yrs. because they thought they'd be better off financially then. do you know they still worry over money to this day? I'm 41. worrying will not benefit the situation in any possible way; worrying is a lie; it changes nothing. you are either having a child or not. and worrying will not change it for the better. worrying will give you unnecessary stress on your body though, that may be pregnant. we feel better for worrying which makes no sense because worrying changes nothing, no detail is benefitted by it.
one thing though, if you are not ready for a child, you are not ready to be sexually active. we are selfish when we only have sex to pleasure ourselves, giving no thought to the life that may be innocently beginning over our casual self centered behavior. sorry, there's no way to sweetly excuse our wrong behaviors, mine, yours, or anyone else's. we have all got to take responsibility.

Just tell yourself that if it happens thats life and there is nothing you can do anyways.
Focus on your work and when the time comes you'll know either way so there is no use of making yourself go crazy!

I'm wondering why you didn't use Plan B?

Meantime, you could watch LIFE'S GREATEST MIRACLE on PBS at this link: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/miracle/program.html. It will give you food for thought about what's scientifically known about conception. There are a lot of misconceptions (pardon the pun).
