If you were to be called a "geek", would you take it as a compliment or a diss (insult)?

I would take it as a compliment - it's always good 2 know someone's talking about my intelligence ;)

W0w - I never knew people took it as a compliment; I thought I was the only 1.

I would definitely take it as a compliment. Back in high school when you called someone a geek, they probably were (meaning smart, a bookworm, etc.) When you go to your class reunions and see these "geeks" who are mostly successful and made something good outta their lives, you think to yourself, "Self, If I would've known that I'd turn out as they did, people coulda called me geek." I hope this answers your question Kid.

Well it all depends what sense your putting it in. But I take it as both. I take it as a compliment because I know that I'm a geek sometimes. But I make the name my own, therefore i'm my own geek. I take it as an insult only when people well... insult me.But I don't carecause they're my biggest fans. lol

It's definitely a compliment. My husband is a self professed geek and that's because computers is his business and that man is highly intelligent.
