No most haunted houses are too dirty to sleep in. I would have to figure out how to set a tent up in them to be able to sleep.

I live in a house with a ghost. With the research that we have done on the house, we believe his name was Ed. Ed likes to listen to the radio, some talk show. The radio, I can’t see what type it is, ‘sits’ about hip high in what is about the center of the ground floor level of the house. I can never quite make out what is being said on the show. Ed does not show up all the time. This was originally a vacation house, so Ed usually only hangs out in the summer and he hasn't come out this summer. I have said ‘Hello’ to Ed a few times, but he’s never responded (that I can tell). Since Ed is not destructive or even distracting, now I know someone hasn’t broken in to ‘my’ house, we basically leave Ed alone.
I've also stayed in a haunted Bed N Breakfast. I was awakened by what sounded like my younger brother saying my name. Since he wasn't with us on this trip, I mentioned it to the owner at breakfast, wondering if someone was looking for me. That's when the owner told us the place was haunted, and that the ghost had just made it's first noise since the redecorating was finished.

Me. I used to live there!!! want some stories?!?!
Ok here goes!
Right my old house used to be a nursing home and so I know for a fact that people have died there. It was also about 200 years old. Anyway one night I had a friend over for a sleepover and at about 4 in the morning she went to the loo. When she came back I went to turn off the lamp but just before I did someone came through the door (there were 2 doors in the room). They were basically a shadow - so it was as if I had simply turned off the light and then my mum had come in or something. Anyway they came and knelt down by my bed (lol i got goosebumps down by back thinking of it!!!) and then simply got up and walked straight THROUGH the other door which was CLOSED!!!! Explain that if you will. After that I simply went to sleep. I know I didn't dream it because I can remember it as if it was this morning and besides I just know! So please don't say it was lol. The next morning I asked my parents (it was an adult figure) if they had been in my room last night - no. So I asked my siblings (all younger than me) anyway just to be sure - no. Lol I was sooooo freaked out and when we lived there if I woke up at any time around four I wouldn't go back to sleep or move or anything - just in case!!! =D
Also I went to stay at my friends house (brand new never been lived in by anyone else before) and she says that she'd never had any ghostly experiences before I went. So she claims that I brought a spirit with me. Also she says she's had none since I've gone. Anyway I was at her house and it was about three in the morning and we were just there talking when someone poked me in the head. I said 'OY KT quit poking me wudya!!!' She said 'I didn't'. I thought that she was just tryin to get me freaked out. There was no-one else in the room. After this had happened about 5/6 times I got really pissed off and said 'hold my hands so I know that it's not you.' Because it always happened when I was looking the other way. That's when the pencil flew across the room. I believe it was her poking me but she maintains that it wasn't. However the pencil and mysterious tappings on the side of the bed when she was holding my hands and feet (don't ask!!!) I can't.
The rest are just odd noises like footsteps when I've been baby-sitting and everyone's asleep. Also when I had my birthday party overnight and we all saw a shadow under the door as if someone was stood on the other side - we ran to open it, no-one there - all asleep!!!! Then again this time moving from side to side!!!! SCARY!!!!! =D
Anyway I have now got to try and sleep so thank you very much for giving me goose pimples =D lol.
OOOOOOHHHH I really can't sleep now - I've given myself the heeby-jeebies!!!! =D lol

It's hard to sleep in a haunted house! My grandmother's house is haunted. Now I am very skeptical. I used to watch the house when my relatives went away. Weird things would always happen! Footsteps, voices, breathing. I convinced myself that I am a logical adult and I was dreaming it all but strange stuff continued to occur. I would be playing the radio and suddenly the plug would shoot out of the wall! This "ghost" or "spirit" unplugged my radio. The phone would very often ring in the middle of the night. When I answered it there would be static and unintelligible voices.
The very last night I stayed in that house was the worst. I decided that all this nonsense was ridiculous & I was going to spend a good peaceful night in that house. As soon as I laid down in bed there was this horrible non stop banging. I flew out of bed. The banging stopped. I checked the house. Even looked outside. There was nothing. So I calmed myself down and went back to bed. The miniute I laid down the banging started up again. It lasted a long time. I didn't sleep all night and refuse to spend another night there!

Yes. I lived in a house that was supposed to be haunted.
The Neighbors clam to have see a dark (???) moving around on the second floor.
we lived there for 3 years... but sorry I never experienced anything freaky in the house.
We actually got that house cheep, because people thought it was haunted that much.

I've lived in four haunted houses so, yeah, I've slept in one before. What's really fun is when you're spending the first night in the house, and "something" won't let you sleep because it keeps saying your name!
